Une expérience de construction de cartes conceptuelles dans un contexte de téléapprentissage universitaire

Abstract : This paper reports the implementation of a concept-mapping activity in an online graduate course delivered entirely at a distance, in the domain of cognitive science. After having read some instructional texts, each student has to draw a concept map and to “explain” it in a narrative format. Most students use an object-oriented modeling tool (called MOT) to draw their map, which is available on the course web site. We describe the activity and present results of an exploratory analysis of the students' maps based on an “analysis in systems” approach stemming from cognitive semantic theories. In conclusion, some research issues are outlined.
