Définitions d'aides en fonction des types d'apprentissages dans des environnements hypermédias

Abstract : In this paper we examine the problem of help devices to learners in hypermedia environments as a function of the learning situation. Our argument is based on a criticism of the great level of generality of traditional help systems, which are mostly concerned with user-system interaction. Then we describe three main types of learning situations (by action, by instruction, by exploration) and the main cognitive processes involved in these three situations. Such a description
enables us to propose specific types of help devices. In conclusion we suggest some perspectives in the domain of design or evaluation of educational hypermedia applications.
