Université et nouvelles technologies : changement et stratégies des acteurs

Abstract : The arrival in information society means for the academic world the encounter with tools, that are revolutionizing both the access to information and the means of communication. Standards are unifying and new possibilities are developed. The memory now available makes it possible to record or transmit texts, which can be processed and analysed, with new methods. With the development of networks, people can now not only receive messages but also communicate worldwide. Some characteristics of the hypertext and of the stucture of the network, oppose the information available on Internet to traditional forms of teaching and research. The information you can get when browsing is unstable. Sources are uncontrollable, and scientific legitimacy is uncertain. The temporality of the network does not always square with that of research. Strategies of appropriation are more common in scientific laboratorie. Strategies of resistance are developped, but they hide the fear to see the teaching and research conditions change completely.
