Architecture pour des systèmes tuteurs émotionnellement intelligents

Abstract : Recent research found that the emotions are closely related to various cognitive processes [1]. So, in learning activities, the emotional state of the learner influences directly his performance, positively or negatively. For this reason, it is important for new ITS to deal with the emotional intelligence, it means to be able: to recognize the current emotional state of the learner, to determine the optimal emotional state for learning and to induce them, so as to be in the best conditions for learning. In this article, we describe the architecture of an emotional intelligent system called ESTEL; this system was developed in order to find the current emotional state of the learner, to determine the
optimal emotional state for learning and to interact with this learner aiming to keep the emotion that maximizes his performance.
