From demonstration to inquiry in teaching vectors with CAS

Abstract : New teaching and learning opportunities emerge when CAS becomes part of the modern mathematical environment. In this paper we describe how those opportunities, in the case of learning vectors in high-school, induce a process of transition experienced by teachers who were introduced to the portfolio vectors in CAS in a summer workshop, and used it in creative ways in their class-room.
