Les spécificités du tutorat à distance à l'Open University : enseigner les langues avec Lyceum

Abstract : In advance of the setting up of a training programme for tutors in languages at The Open University, this study proposes a framework for referencing the skills required for tutoring in the synchronous audio-graphic Lyceum environment. Following the presentation of a questionnaire showing the tutor's remarks, this article presents a comparative analysis of face-to-face teaching and teaching with Lyceum and highlights the new tasks that tutoring with Lyceum entails. Following Perrenoud's work on the notion of skill and on the recent Knowledge Management theories developed by Prax, four sets of skills are then outlined.
