Abstract : This monograph accounts for an experiment carried out with a group of professional technical trainers in Apprentice schools belonging to a professional branch (construction network). They are enroled in a full-time IUP degree course for “training specialists” via a branch training plan and come from around France. This experimentation was preliminary and concomitant to the research on DCPLI (Distributed Collective Practices of Learning over the Internet). The typical features of this course are the following: it is carried out over 18 months with one session every 6 weeks; it is based on the construction of knowledge coming within the professional experience and enhanced by the confrontation of professional and university resources, as well as a long writing activity (the professional thesis) It uses a virtual interface (with Accel) to develop activities of writing and exchange with peers and university teachers. This group began its course before research started, carried on during research and its analysis was used as a base for orientation and experimentation of the DCPLI.
