Créer un site pour mieux apprendre ? Bilan d'expérience

Abstract : This article reviews the setting up of a multimedia workshop which took place within the context of French as a Foreign Language at University and in which the students had to design and build their own Web Site. The discussion is based on interviews with some students who participated in the project. We describe the project and its analysis according to three main lines of inquiry: the specificities of the Internet, promoting motivation, collaborative learning and acquisition of specific vocabulary and abilities; the new kinds of human mediation, altering the roles of both student and teacher and providing a variety of interactions in the different tasks; the operative and autonomizing perspective of such a workshop. The conclusion offers some directions to repeat or expand this project for a better pedagogical and institutional integration.
