Abstract : To facilitate the search and re-use of learning resources one must assume that frameworks and tools have to be set up. First, it is of value to have a description of the resource from the various points of view. In actual fact, a lot of initiatives have come to light through which the diversity of the resources has been captured. In this paper we are particularly focused on the set if metadata put forward by the IEEE working group in charge of learning technology standards (LTSC) and we examine the possibilities surrounding its implementations in the institutions. More precisely, we present experiments carried out in two universities regarding this standard and deliberate on the difficulties we found therein.
