Abstract : The text tries to give a few elements aiming at a more adequate connection between didactics as a research field and the design of multimedia language learning materials. The author stresses the great variety of design teams and environments one can come across and relies on non academic or continuing education perspectives to suggest that language specialists could gain benefit from
looking at professional specialities or organizations that are still often unfamiliar to them.
