Liens entre utilisabilité et utilité d'un logiciel éducatif en situation d'enseignement

Patrice Barbel
Abstract : The study is to examine the links between usability and utility of an educational software in a teaching context. The usability designates the possibility of using the software and utility designates the possibility of attaining a defined goal using this software. Two measurements will be representative as of these variables, respectively the utilisation level and the goal attainment level. These measurements will relate to the context of use, i.e. here to the situation of teaching. We will make the hypotheses, study direction of the teacher for the task and of the position of the software in the sequence will characterise this context of use. Observation in a geology class will enable research data to be established concerning the use of software and the interest of the contingency table to interpret the links between usability and utility.
